Valuation Clause
Valuation on all items handled by Globe Moving & Storage is subject to the following limitations:
All items transported by Globe Moving & Storage Ltd. Vehicles are covered up to a maximum of $75,000.00. This coverage is in effect only if the damage is the result of an accident, fire, or like mishap during transport.
All items being handled, loaded and unloaded by Globe Moving & Storage Personnel are covered up to a maximum of $75,000.00 for repair or cash settlement based on .60 cents per pound, not exceed the depreciated value and/or to the discretion of the carrier.
Depreciated Value Protection is available at $8.00 per $1,000.00 of declared value.
Any damage to homes (i.e. floors, walls) covered to a maximum of $4,000,000.00 (commercial general liability).
Items exempt from coverage unless packed and unpacked by Globe personnel.
These items include, but are not limited to the following:
Marble, statuary, pictures, lamps, glass, unframed mirrors, ornaments, plants, furnature constructed of press-board material and velvet upholstered furniture, front load washer, big screen/plasma television, and perishables.
In no event will the coverage exceed the depreciated value of the item.
No coverage shall apply to boxes that are not packed and unpacked by Globe Personnel.
In the event of loss or damage to a part of a pair or set, coverage shall be limited to the value of the individual piece and not for the entire set.
Scratches to furniture and/or tears to cloth items will be repaired.
Any loss or damage must be reported to Globe Moving & Storage within 7 days of completion of move. Any claim not reported within this time period will NOT be honored.
All damage claims subject to $100.00 deductible.
