STORAGE
Sometimes you need storage because you run out of room for everything, your new home will not be ready for the move-in day, or you have yet to find a new place to live.
Whatever the reason, Globe Moving & Storage can help. We have two warehouse locations in Manitoba, Winnipeg and Brandon. Both are government-inspected and approved, heated, pest controlled with fire and security systems.
All your furniture items will be wrapped in quilted moving blankets and placed inside clean, wooden, dust-free storage vaults. Your name and the number of storage vaults will be noted on the exterior of the vaults. This information is also entered into an internal tracking system at Globe Moving.
Large, upholstered items like couches and area rugs will be shrink-wrapped first, then placed on special racks in the warehouse.
There are two main types of storage:

This is when your new home will not be ready for move day, or you have yet to find a place to live. Short-term storage is usually up to 60 days.

If you cannot find a place to live within 60 days of your shipment being loaded on a moving truck, it becomes long-term storage. Run out of storage room at home? Long-term storage is a good option.

Globe Moving is part of the Premiere Van Lines Group, with ten additional storage locations in Canada. As an agent for Atlas Van Lines, Globe has access to over 400 additional warehouse locations in Canada and the US. All government-approved, heated, pest controlled with fire and security systems.
WAREHOUSE HANDLING
Whether you need short-term or long-term storage, warehouse handling charges will apply in addition to the storage charges. This is for handling each piece of furniture and loading it into and out of the storage vaults.
Storage insurance is available at an additional cost. We suggest you contact your home insurance company to see if you have coverage for storage under your home policy.
